Summary, etc. Unsere Sprache ist voll von Leihgaben aus aller Welt, die uns tagtäglich und wie selbstverständlich über die Lippen gehen. Und wie es mit Leihgaben manchmal so ist: Kann man sie besonders gut gebrauchen oder gefallen sie einem einfach besser als das, was man selbst hat, dann gibt man sie irgendwann nicht mehr zurück! Jede Sprache dieser Erde birgt daher zahlreiche Einwanderer aus anderen Ländern - auch, wenn diese nicht immer sofort als solche erkannt werden.<br/><br/>Das Goethe Institut und der Deutsche Sprachrat waren von November 2007 bis Februar 2008 auf der Suche nach eingewanderten Wörtern. Sprachinteressierte aus 45 Ländern haben sich am Wettbewerb beteiligt. Insgesamt gingen 3.500 Einsendungen aus 42 Sprachen ein, darunter auch Hindi, Atztekisch (Nahuatl), Japanisch, Malaiisch, Jiddisch, Norwegisch, Schwyzerdütsch, Kiswahili oder Kalaallisut (Grönland).<br/><br/>Das am häufigsten eingereichte Wort war mit über 150 Einträgen: "Fisimatenten". 69-mal wurde das Wort "Tohuwabohu", 44-mal "Hängematte", 39-mal "Schokolade" und 35-mal "Döner" eingesandt.
