Der in zwei Teilen gedrehte Film lief in unterschiedlichsten Versionen und Bearbeitungen in vielen europäischen Ländern und in Amerika. Die Doppel-DVD enthält neben einer neu rekonstruierten Fassung des Films auch Alternativszenen, Rushes, ausländische Zwischentitel und Outtakes sowie im ROM-Bereich zeitgenössische Programmhefte und Standphotos und Berichte von den Dreharbeiten.
