Summary, etc. Sammy hat es nicht leicht. Seine ältere Schwester Molly ist sein ärgster Feind. Seine Mutter hat keine Zeit für ihn und seinen Vater hat sie rausgeschmissen .Sammys einziger Freund ist Raffi ,ein Goldhamster. Doch der ist herzkrank und muss operiert werden .Danach bracuh Raffi Ruhe ,aber die bekommt er nicht. Das Auto mit Raffi wird gestohlen und er von einem Gangster entführt .Einen neuen Hamster zu kaufen wäre leicht, doch Samy hängt an Raffi und ist davon überzeugt, dass dieser Hamster etwas ganz Besonderes ist. Er macht sich auf die abenteurliche Suche mach ihm. Und Raffi ist etwas ganz Besonderes; Er entkommt dem Gangster ,überlebt einen Sturz vom Hausdach ,schlägt sich durch ,entwischt einer Katze und landet sogar im Wasser, was er gar icht mag. Schlieβlich wird er auch noch Fernsehstar ,Sammy bleibt auf seiner Spur und versucht seinen Freund Raffi wieder zu finden.

Kid son Samuel 'Sammi' now clings completely to the hamster Raffi he received from dad. He even gets the vet to perform expensive surgery on the pet rodent, but on the way home it gets accidentally kidnapped by Rocky, a just paroled car thief. Caught in her own lies, Sammi's mean sister Molly and her nice boyfriend Jochen must help search for Raffi, who wanders into adventures and a TV studio 'show starring' door-choosing hamsters, arousing enmity.
