Heute verdient er seinen Lebensunterhalt als Geldeintreiber oder Türsteher, abends bereitet er den jungen aufstrebenden Boxer Eddy auf dessen ersten Titelkampf vor. Aber bald wird Herbert erkennen müssen ,dass er vor den Trümmern seines Lebens steht : Seine längst erwachsene Tochte hat ihn nicht mehr gesehen ,seitdem sie sechs Jahre alt war. Seine Freundin Marlene hält er auf Abstand .Und dann stellt die Diagnose ALS sein bisheriges Leben völlig auf den Kopf.
