Summary, etc. Maria ist 14 und wächst in zwei getrennten Welten auf : sie geht zur Schule und verbringt den halben tag mit ihren Klassenkameraden ,zuhause jedoch lebt sie in einem völlig anderen Universum .Ihre Familie hängt dem Glauben der Priesterbruderschaft St.Paulus an ,die eine streng traditionalistische Auslegung des Katholizismus vertritt. Maria steht unter groβem druck, denn ihr Leben ist zerrissen zwischen diesen beiden Welten. Sie kämpft darum ,ihren Glauben rein zu halten ,gleichzeitig muss sie sich aber gegen die Verlockungen der echten Welt zur Wehr setzen,gegen ihre Mutter ,die überall Widerspruch und Rebellion wittert, und gegen das unschuldig aufkeimende Interesse eines Jungen aus ihrer Parallelklasse .Maria beschlieβt ,Jesus nachzufolgen und ihm ihr Leben zum Opfer anzubieten - ihr eigener Weg wird zum Kreuzweg.

She wants to follow Him, to become a saint and go to heaven--just like all those holy children about whom she's always been told. So Maria goes through 14 stations, just like Jesus did on his path to Golgatha, and reaches her goal in the end. Not even Christian, a boy she meets at school, can stop her, even if in another world, they might have become friends, or even more.
