In der neuen Schule ist er erst mal der Außenseiter. Und auch im neuen Fußballverein laufen die Dinge für den talentierten Stürmer nicht wie erhofft. Zu allem Überfluss gibt es noch einen weitern Neuankömmling an der Schule : der gleichaltrige Tariq, Flüchtling aus Syrien, der ihm nicht nur in der Klasse die Show stielht, sondern auch noch auf dem Fußballplatz punktet. Wird Ben im Abseits bleiben - oder hat sein Konkurrent doch mehr mit ihm gemeinsam, als er denkt?
Expansion of summary note [EN] A friendship born from anthropogenic loss of home: when the village where 11-year-old Ben and his family live has to give way to open-cast lignite mining, they move to the city. There, Ben meets Tariq, whose family has fled Syria. Though they start out as competitors, the shared experience of a new beginning soon welds them together at school as well as the football club.
